Pastoral update on Covid-19

Updated 3/31/2020

With Gov. Newsom's stay at home order, our community has transformed into a virtual one for the foreseeable future. Just because we are not meeting in person does not mean we are not connected. Given the Governor's order, all in-person meetings at MMACC are suspended until further notice.

  • All of our liturgies will be accessible online. More information can be found on our online liturgy page

  • If you need assistance during this time - with groceries or anything else, please don't hesitate to reach out.

Our love and care for one another binds us together as a community. This is a time for us to care for one another in new, loving ways.

While  this may be a scary time for many, our community remains united. As our quote for lent suggests, “Even in a world being shipwrecked, remain brave and strong.” Know that you are in my prayers daily.

In love and prayer,

Progressive. Inclusive. Affirming.

A new way to be catholic.

Mary Magdalene Apostle Catholic Community (MMACC) is a community of progressive Catholics who are committed to the reform and renewal of the church. We strive to live the values of compassion, peace, and social justice as taught by Jesus. We believe in a church that celebrates the full equality of all persons - practicing radical  inclusivity in our ministry, worship, and language. We support women's ordination, optional celibacy for all priests, and a discipleship of equals where all are truly welcome.

We welcome you to a church that recognizes and fosters the dignity

and ministry of all in the church.

We invite your individual spirituality and look forward

to sharing our spirituality with you.

We invite you as you are, with your unique gifts and talents.

We invite you to celebrate our inclusive liturgies.

We invite you into a discipleship of equals.

We welcome you as a gift.

Give us an hour.

MMACC may be what you’re looking for.
